The story at the heart of Angels in the Sky
I’m a firm believer in signs from our loved ones, and this book celebrates the joy in those small moments.
My book follows four families as they celebrate life’s moments big and small — from welcoming a new baby to enjoying the first day of spring in their backyard. No matter the occasion, each family is joined by signs from their loved ones.
This was the book I wish I had when we brought our children home from the hospital. I hadn't scratched the surface of processing the grief after losing my mom and brother, and I ached to have them here physically to see all of the first milestones. But then I started to find comfort in their signs. This book is as much for the brand new parent navigating grief as it is for a two year old.
About the Author
Carly Ritt is a mom of two navigating loss while embracing the chaos of the every day.
She loves a warm cup of chai, family dance parties in the kitchen, and long walks during all four Wisconsin (and now Connecticut) seasons. She is a firm believer that our loved ones have a knack for sending us signs when we need them most.
About the illustrator
Brigid Malloy loves to tell stories through her whimsical depictions of characters.
Brigid Malloy received her BFA from the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design. When she's not working as a graphic designer or illustrating books in her spare time, she loves to visit local coffee shops and breweries, hang out with friends and family and do an occasional 5k.

All I ever hoped for was that this book could help one family outside of my own, and I’m beyond grateful and a bit in awe of the messages I receive from you sharing how this has helped someone you know during an incredibly challenging time.
